On their blog today, the League of Legends European Championship announced their marquee Premier League tournament is back for the Summer of 2019.

On the same day that European Masters Spring 2019 Champions the Misfits Premier roster took to the stage at the LEC in replacement of the entire starting line-up, the league announced that the biggest tournament in European academy League of Legends will return for the Summer season.

Much like the North American LCS Academy League, the Premier League brings up the latest talent in European League of Legends and nowhere is this put on display more than during the biggest tournament of the split. The European Masters is the end all for upstart League of Legends pros, prospects, and especially for LEC teams who are looking for some changes.

It’s both an amazing place for fans to get a look at the future of the esport, but also an astounding market for teams to find their missing pieces. Just this LEC Summer Split teams like Rogue and Misfits have taken full advantage of their stacked Premier League teams, calling up multiple members to their starting line-ups on the mainstage.

For the 2019 Summer European Masters, we’ve got a look at the format and the dates for the competition.

Format

The dates for the 2019 Summer European Masters tournament will land in September, and will consist of a Play-In Stage, Group Stage, and a Playoff bracket before 4 final teams will play the Semifinals and then Finals live on the 28th and 29th of September.

You will be able to check out all of the action live on the Riot Games Twitch channel, or YouTube as well as using the LoLEsports.com portal.

The 2019 Summer European Masters will begin mere days after the conclusion of the LEC 2019 Summer Split Grand Finals, so there won’t be any conflicting choices forced upon League of Legends fans.

Who will you be rooting for?
