If you're going to make a jail break, you'd better hope that our new top cop isn't in town – and more!

Some of us might be digging out from the latest snow storm, but thankfully others didn't have to trade in their joystick for the snow shovel. That's right, we're in for a different kind of storm – a blizzard of sights and sounds with our latest batch of of newly-accepted submissions on the TG leaderboard. This week, we're going to run at the track, learn how to spit deadly projectiles with our mouth, develop a taste for ants, learn how to party like a monster, and take down the bad guys as a world record lawman, so read on!

Fly – Track & Field (Nintendo Game Boy) – Fastest Time

Having conquered Track & Field in the arcades, Fly set his sights on a record or two for the Nintendo Game Boy version of the game. In his most recent submission, Fly went all in for a gold medal on the 100 Meter Dash. Hitting the buttons like an old washboard, Fly blew past a 16 year-old record with a fastest time of 8.71 seconds.

Lasse.lo  –  Toki Retrollectors Edition (Nintendo Switch) – Points

lasse.lo took careful aim at the leaderboard and let the spit fly on Toki Retrollectors Edition for the Nintendo Switch. In this quirky update on the classic retro title, lasse.lo cleared three stages of colorful action - including an epic battle against a burp-throwing mini-boss to take home 162,000 points.

JasonV91 – Anteaster (M.A.M.E.) - Points

JasonV91 was hungry like an aardvark on the arcade retro hit Anteater. Although it was several years since he last tried his hand at gobbling up ant larvae, JasonV91 quickly demonstrated that his skills and muscle memory were as sharp as ever as he ate up 19 ant hills to finish with 232,010 points for a new TG world record.

TomRagesOn – King of The Monsters 2 (Sega Genesis) – Points

TomRagesOn beat the invaders from another star to become the strongest gamer on King of The Monsters 2 for the Sega Genesis. Fighting as the memorable Claw Head, Tom took the fight to 10 fearsome opponents and sent them packing for 800 years with a final monster score of 548,003 points.

Wesker Alberto – Jail Break  (Arcade) – Points

Wesker Alberto made his friend Jan Orna, owner of the Arcade Museum in the Czech Republic, an offer he couldn't refuse – hosting a new world record on the arcade run 'n gun classic Jail Break. Originally thinking he'd be playing for 2-3 hours, Wesker knew that it would be a little longer after he crossed the 5 million point threshold. Over 6 hours later, Wesker turned in his badge with 232 stages cleared and a giant max-out score of 9,999,900 points.

This covers our Scoreboard Spotlight for this week. As a reminder, these were just a few of exceptional records that were adjudicated and accepted recently. Every record that made it through verification and landed on our leaderboards has a well-deserved place in the Twin Galaxies gaming pantheon.

Keep scoring high, finishing fast, and game on!
